The Odyssey is Honda’s minivan, originally introduced in 1995 when it was built on the Accord platform. When the larger second-generation Odyssey debuted for 1999 built on a new platform, it was the largest Honda ever built. The third-generation Odyssey was introduced for the 2005 model year with a major refesh to the minivan last year.
The Honda Odyssey received fresh styling and features in 2008, so the 2009 Honda Odyssey remains primarily unchanged. Feature upgrades for the new model year include the addition of a standard power lifgate to the EX-L and the optional naviagion system is now equipped wth Bluetooth hands-free connectivity.The 2009 Odyssey also features Honda’s latest version of Variable Cylinder Management (VCM) which selectively deactivates either two or three of the engine’s six cylinders during cruising and deceleration for improved fuel economy.
