The Accent is Hyundai's entry-level passenger car that was introduced in 1995 replacing the Excel, which was the first Hyundai imported to the U.S. in 1996. The Tiburon is Hyundai’s sporty coupe, and the original Tiburon carried over many elements from the HCD-1 and HCD-II concept cars when it was introduced in 1996.
