The Galant is Mitsubishi’s four-door, five-passenger, front-wheel-drive midsize sedan that receives styling updates for 2009. The Galant became larger, more powerful, and better handling for 2004 and the signature Mitsubishi split grille was added. For 2007 the Galant received a makeover with an all-new look, enhanced interior and refined ride and handling for greater comfort and a more engaging driving experience.
The 2009 Mitsubishi Galant receives fresh styling with a new grille, hood and lower air intake at the front, and more changes at the rear including wider rear glass, a new trunk lid, taillights and rear bumper. The high-performance Ralliart continues to top the 2009 Galant model line, which also includes the 4-cylinder ES, Sport and Sport V6. With exclusive exterior styling, Galant Ralliart is powered by a 258-horsepower 3.8-liter MIVEC V6 engine mated with a 5-speed Sportronic automatic transmission and includes Ralliart-tuned sport suspension and 18-inch alloy wheels. Galant ES and Sport are powered by a 160-horsepower 2.4-liter MIVEC 4-cylinder engine with a four-speed automatic transmission with Sportronic, and the Sport V6 is powered by a 230-horsepower 3.8-liter V6 engine.
